Garbage collection in Montevallo is changing, effective September 29, 2019. Trash will now be picked up throughout the week. The day your trash will be collected depends on where you live. View this list to see your new garbage collection day!

Garbage Service 


If you have recently moved to Montevallo, and your home is in the city limits, garbage service will be added to your water account, please let your representative at the Water Board know if you will require a can.

The City contracts with Republic to provide curb side garbage pick-up throughout the week, depending on your address. To find out when your trash pick up day is, click here.
 
All garbage must be placed in garbage bags inside a roll out cart provided by Republic and the roll out carts must be brought to the curb for pick up. Garbage will not be picked up if water-logged or scattered. We ask that residents keep cans behind or to the side of the house for a neater appearance.

All back door service will now occur on Friday.

Recycling 


The City of Montevallo has discontinued curbside recycling. The recycling center located at the intersection of Overland Road and Spring Creek Road will still operate as usual. 

Recycling cart pick up will begin Friday, 10/4. Collection for communities whose recycling day is the following week will begin on Friday, 10/11.

Please leave recycling carts at the curbside for 7 days following your last service day. If your cart is not removed within that time frame, please email your address to lwalker@wasteprousa.com or cal 205.605.0800.

Non-City Limit Residents


To establish garbage service (outside city limits) Republic directly. Montevallo  Water and Sewer Department will not be responsible for billing.
