City of Montevallo Financial Information

The Montevallo City Council recently voted to post additional financial information on the City’s website in an effort to be more transparent about the city’s financial situation. The following is the City of Montevallo’s 2007 annual audit.  An audit is an outside accountant’s report of the City’s financial situation. The following is the City of Montevallo’s 2009 budget.  A budget is an estimate of  revenues and expenses that are expected to be received and spent for the 12 months from September of 2008 to September of 2009.  It is only an estimate, but is used as way to plan for city expenditures. The City of Montevallo’s Finance Committee meets at 5:00 on the last Wednesday of each month. Like all City meetings, citizens are welcome.
