The National Night Out event in Montevallo will be held at Orr Park/ Pecan Grove on October 22nd from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Last year's event was a great success, with a variety of community resources and a new attendance record.

Our National Night Out event celebrates the strength and unity of our community. With the generous support of our event sponsors, we are ready to host another free, family-friendly event.

The City of Montevallo will be participating in Shelby County's FREE Landfill Day for residents. Bring items to Montevallo’s Recycling Center (1120 Overland Rd) from 7am to 1:30pm.

***NOTE*** Have items to the Recycling Center by 1:30PM so item can be transported to the Shelby County Landfill on TIME!***

You may take your items directly to the Shelby County Landfill. The Shelby County Landfill is located at 401 Landfill Road, just off Highway 70 between Columbiana and Calera. We cannot accept Hazardous waste, tires, batteries, or liquids of any type.

Montevallo Fire and Rescue's 50th Annual Prevention Parade

Montevallo Fire and Rescue would like to invite you and your family to our 50th Annual Fire Prevention Parade. The parade will be held on Saturday October 5th at 10am starting from Island Street and Main Street going toward Shelby Street.

Immediately following the parade on Main Street you are encouraged to join us in Orr Park. There will be events for the kids and vendors. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there this year.

Presidents' Day Holiday

City Hall will be closed on Monday, February 19th, in observance of Presidents' Day.


The Recycling Center will be closed on Saturday, February 17th, and Monday, February 19th. 

New Restrooms in Orr Park

New Restrooms in Orr Park made possible by Shelby County Alabama Parks & Recreation Grant and Montevallo Development Cooperative District (MDCD) Funding.

Crews will begin demolition of the restroom building in Orr Park later this week. This will affect the walking track in the area of the large pavilion. -- Sections of the walking path will temporarily be closed to complete this work. Construction of a new restroom facility will begin soon. Thanks for your patience during this process.
