 BUILDING INSPECTIONS
The City of Montevallo outsources building inspections to the Development Services Department with Shelby County. Please contact them with any questions regarding zoning or building code. A building inspection will be required if any renovations are done to a business. 

FIRE INSPECTION
For more information about how to obtain a fire inspection, go to the Fire Investigation and Prevention page. A fire inspection must be obtained before a business license will be issued.

GARAGE/ YARD SALE PERMIT REQUIREMENTS 
If you are planning to have a Garage/ Yard Sale you are required to have a permit. The City of Montevallo would like to have a minimum of seven days notice prior to your anticipated Garage Sale Date.
