Parks & Recreation

The City of Montevallo offers exquisite park locations and recreation services. We provide an extensive variety of youth sports, a range of engaging green spaces, playground equipment throughout the city, the first city-wide bike share in the state, and hiking and biking trails and with ambling creeks throughout town. The University of Montevallo also welcomes our residents and visitors to enjoy University Lake and the University of Montevallo Track and Field complex. Refer to city and university calendars for a schedule of athletic events and other recreational opportunities.

If you're looking for a beautiful, yet affordable, space to have a wedding, anniversary, birthday party, family reunion, or other special event, please follow this link to request a park rental a or contact City Hall. Pavilion and gazebo reservations are available at George Dailey Park, Orr Park, and Shoal Creek Park.

Montevallo City Parks, Pavilions and its Facilities are open to the public from sunrise until dusk. Read the City of Montevallo's Operational Hours of City Parks and Pavilions and penalties for violation.

Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served, basis. Park Rental Facilities are managed through the Montevallo Parks and Recreation Department by visiting:  https://montevalloparksandrec.com/Facilities.aspx.
